I love caramel.  I love salt.  I really love salted caramel anything.  And so, by combining and tweaking several of my favorite recipes, and adding a drizzle of chocolate on top, I created Salted Caramel and Chocolate Shortbread Cookies [1] for Best Friends for Frosting.

Think Twix bars.  But homemade, and with the perfect kiss of salt to balance the buttery-sweet goodness of the shortbread and caramel.  It's the perfect recipe for Valentine's day.  A little labor intensive (these would be so much easier as a bar), but isn't your honey worth it?  Here's the recipe [1].
