Family friends, Dakota and Brian, got married a few weeks ago, and I was lucky enough to make their wedding cake!

Rustic and fall, maybe sunflowers, Dakota said.  Otherwise, she let me create whatever I wanted.  Yesss, I love getting to do that!  This is why I give away my cakes for free; if people were paying me, they'd want to tell me what to make.  ;-)

I got to teach myself how to make that birch bark effect fondant, and how to make edible fall leaves out of wafer paper [1].  I love learning new techniques and having an excuse to buy new tools!
