Watermelon ice cubes are a fun way to dress up your drink without much effort, and keep the beverage cool without watering it down.

Plus, if you do it in a fun shape like stars, it's perfect for the 4th of July!

How do you make watermelon ice cubes?  Well, watermelon has a TON of water in it (duh), so all you need to do is cut up the watermelon and freeze it.

Freeze the cut watermelon in a single layer on a piece of parchment paper or a silpat, so the watermelon won't stick to the tray.  Once the watermelon is frozen solid, you can transfer the watermelon ice cubes to a freezer bag.

Then just pop them in your drink!

It's absolutely perfect with a Watermelon Sparkler [1], or a glass of sangria [2].
