If Disneyland is just a little too far away, make a little Disney magic at home with this tutorial for Mickey (or Minnie!) Mouse Ears.

It's incredibly easy to do, I promise.

Materials for Making Easy Mickey Mouse Ears:

Start by cutting out two circles of black craft felt (available at any craft or fabric store).  I used one of my round cookie cutters to trace and cut out a perfect circle, but you could easily use a glass, or anything round you have around the house.

Use the hot glue gun to glue the felt circle to the headband, wrapping the bottom bit of the circle around the headband.  I have a large stash of metal headbands left over from my days as a tiara designer, but you can find fabric covered plastic headbands at the dollar store all the time.  Those would work perfectly, too.  And would probably be even more comfortable, quite frankly.

Add a little ribbon bow, if you'd like.  It looks cute either way!

Both the boys and the girls loved wearing their ears for the Disney Imagicademy party!  They wore the ears the entire time.

In fact, Niamh happily wore the ears all day long.  Her comment on the Disney-riffic accessory?  "I look good in this headband."
