Creeper Birthday Party Paper Plates Tutorial

My 7 year old daughter loves to be involved in the planning and crafting for her birthday parties, so I'm always looking for crafts she can do to contribute.  Turning plain, green, square, paper plates into Minecraft creepers was a perfect project for her Stampy Minecraft birthday party.

I made a basic shape to use as a template, and then my daughter used her considerable tracing and cutting skills to cut the pieces out of black cardstock for me.

I had plain, green, square plates too, especially for more wet food (spinach artichoke dip, Neapolitan pizzas made in the wood-fired pizza oven I built, our standard party fare).  But for veggies, chips, cookies?  Creeper plates FTW!  

They also made good improvised masks for the kids.  I didn't even think of that until I saw kids playing with the plates, but that would have been a great craft to make for the party!
