At the Let the Ghoul Times Roll Halloween party for Festivities magazine, I wanted to create a haunted house style vibe with the decor.  One incredibly easy and inexpensive way to achieve this was to cover the furniture in the house with sheets.  It looked good, but I wanted something more, so I came up with a simple way to make it look like a ghostly face was pushing through several pieces of furniture.

When we were planning the fall issue of Festivities magazine, Paula from Frog Prince Paperie threw out the idea of a kid-friendly Halloween party with touches of New Orleans and Mardi Gras style.  Let the Ghoul Times Roll!

I had an opportunity to put my new philosophy of present wrapping in action this weekend!  In an attempt to cut down on my large collection of wrapping papers (oddly enough, no matter how much I have, it seems like I can't find a good one for the occasion), I've decided to wrap with plain paper and accent with pretty ribbons, greenery, yarn, etc.  Things that I have around anyway and are smaller and easier to store than lots of rolls of wrapping paper and matching ribbons.
