Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Was that an official thing back when we were kids? I don't remember anything so official, but then again, I wasn't the one orchestrating the crafts and gifts and sweet treats. I'll have to ask my mom, and send her a long-overdue thank-you. I'm sure even if Teacher Appreciation Week wasn't an official thing, she was still doing stuff to make sure my wonderful teachers knew they were valued.
Continuing in the Mother's Day theme (and by that I mean stuff the kids can do for mom, without mom having to help out), I have a simple gift wrapping idea that my girls absolutely love.
Mother's day is right around the corner, and I'm always trying to think up cool ideas that the kids can either do entirely on their own, or with minimal parental involvement. Preferrably none of mama's help (what's the fun in that?).
If you have children of a certain age, they're probably obsessed with Disney's Frozen. It's a sweet movie (even if it pretty much bears no resemblence to The Snow Queen, on which it's allegedly based), and if we're going to have a movie requested every single day, I'm glad it's one I at least like.
Recipe for making homemade lemonade concentrate. Take advantage of lemons when they're in season in the winter, and make amazing homemade lemonade concentrate for the freezer to save for hot summer days.
Irish dancing themed sugar cookies decorated with royal icing for the 2014 Irish step dancing world championships in London. Solo dresses, class dresses for the Kelly Hendry School of Irish dance, and more.
I'm joining the fun over at the Ultimate Blog Party 2014 this year! And I thought I'd write a little bit about me today, as a way of introduction to all my new blogging friends.
