Frosting covered pretzels are a delicious, easy to make, sweet and salty treat. But you need to know the right icing for pretzels if you want to be able to serve this delicious snack to guests.
Piñatas are always so much fun, and it just wouldn't feel like a birthday in our family without one. But we like our parties to be family affairs, and that usually means the guests span a large age range. That works well for the actual whacking of the piñata (the bigger kids actually have a chance of breaking it open!), but when it comes to the dive for candy, it's a problem. Tears. Accusations. Unjust distribution of candy. It's not pretty.
That's why, in our family, we do it a little differently.

At age three, Niamh doesn't have a lot of friends her own age; it's more about family friends coming together to celebrate. Friends, siblings, parent--an entire range of ages from the very young to the grandparents. That can make planning activities that entertain all particularly difficult.
My three year old daughter came up with the best birthday party theme ever: a sprinkles birthday party. Colorful, sweet, whimsical, original: this sprinkles party had everything you could want from a birthday party theme.
